Do the people I send documents to need an account?
No. Signers open the private link in their email and sign in the browser. Only the sender needs an OnFire account.
Is an electronic signature legally binding?
For most everyday agreements, yes — e-signatures are recognised under laws such as eIDAS (EU) and ESIGN/UETA (US). A few document types still require a handwritten signature or a notary in some countries. This is general information, not legal advice.
What can I send?
Any PDF up to 25 MB, or a document built from one of our templates. You can add up to ten signers per document.
Can I edit the templates?
Yes. Fill in the details, rewrite or remove any paragraph and add your own before sending. The templates are general starting points — review the wording for your situation.
Where do I find my signed documents?
In your OnFire Sign dashboard, alongside everything sent to you. Everyone also receives the completed PDF by email when the last person signs.
